I grew up near the corner of Buena Vista and Prospect. No joke.

Remember when we all thought this would be the big news of the summer.

Or remember when we were justifying our desire to seek revenge about exactly four years ago next weekend?

The truth is, as Andrew reminded me, we like to pretend that we control the universe, but really we are subject to its very whim. That's why I feel the need to believe in a sovereign God, no matter how misplaced that belief might seem.
